In case he needs a Hail Mary, re-election bound Sen. Scott Brown has one Massachusetts star by his side: Former Boston College and New England Patriots quarterback Doug Flutie.
Flutie and his band, The Flutie Brothers Band, will perform at a fundraiser for Brown Dec. 9 at Boston?s Park Plaza Hotel. Brown?s daughter, Ayla Brown, will also be in attendance.

From the look of things, the party could be a rowdy one. On the email list-serv for Harvard?s College Republicans, students are downright giddy.
?I just received word of what is sure to be a sick holiday party with Senator Scott Brown,? wrote one student, adding: ?I?m sure I could scramble up something for a light pregame before and a hard postgame after, especially if there isn?t a bar.?
?I was planning on going as well,? wrote another. ?This sounds pretty dang fun.?
